MaillCallLetters0213This past week I was blessed to hear from both of my Compassion Sponsored girls, Emily & Helen Angela.

Emily’s letter, written on November 22, is one of the new form letters and shares about her hobbies & pets.

EmilyButterflyEmily also thanks me for the financial gift I sent her back in June. With the $100 I sent, she was able to purchase a bike, shorts, capris, a Barbie Doll, a backpack, & colored pencils. And you know the best part? (for selfish me anyway) The best part is the thank you came with a new photo of her & all that she bought.

EmilyNewBikeIsn’t that the most precious smile ever?

Helen Angela’s letter was not dated, but was written sometime after she received the financial gift I sent for her birthday (in December). With the $25 I sent, she was able to purchase a t-shirt, leggings, and a skirt.

Helen Angela also tells me about her new friends & her favorite subject in school (crafts).

HelenAngelaAngelPlus, she included this wonderful drawing of an angel – I truly have a bunch of artists in my sponsor kids.

It was such a good week for letters :)

Have you gotten any #happymail lately?

Each Monday I link with Ann Voskamp at A Holy Experience & count my blessings. Blessings #86-128: Emily’s new photo, Helen Angela’s wonderful drawing, work holidays, clean rooms, roomba vacuums, hulu shows playing in the background, healthy friends, easy quiche suppers, chocolate covered strawberries, work tasks, blogging motivation, scented candles, sleeping in on weekends, shoes that fit, local libraries, yoga class, a yoga studio where I feel welcome, save drives to Little Rock, sewing with friends, love of family, dinner theatre, flea market finds, quiet time alone, cats afraid of balloons, project life supplies, documenting old trips, mentally preparing for Ecuador, hooting owls at night, asparagus, Valentine’s Day surprises, clothes that fit, comfortable work attire, discovering new books, check off to-do lists, dwindling piles of laundry, nights filled with pleasant dreams, freshly washed car, pens with purple ink, a cat with a flabby tummy, longer daylight hours, iphone camera, instagram.

I’m also linking up with Michelle over at Blogging from the Boonies for Mail Call Monday – where Compassion Sponsors from around the globe join in and share their happymail for the week.
